connectors and the acquisition of Raychem, a leading manufacturer
of high-performance electrical components, created the nucleus
for the formation of Tyco Electronics Corporation, the world’s
largest supplier of passive electronic components.

outside the city of Leuven. It is a fully integrated site,
including research and development, manufacturing, sales and
marketing.

major operating units are in the USA (Harrisburg, North Carolina
and Pennsylvania), China (Shanghai) and Spain (Valencia).
In addition, there is a local sales and technical support presence in
more than 50 countries.
