Front Patching Shelf

Front Patching Shelf

The Front Patching/Splicing Shelf (FIST-FPS) is the mechanical assembly for the fiber management system that provides the function of splicing and patching pigtails and connecting them in a rack environment.

The front panel of the shelf is loaded with 4 twelve-connector adapter modules, allowing patching and cross-connection of pigtails without opening the shelf. All types of connector adapters can be pre-installed in the front panel. Bend controls on the chassis are provided to protect the inside rack pigtails.

Behind the patch panel a tray tower including 6 splicing trays is mounted.
